We offer complimentary worldwide delivery including Insurance for your peace of mind. These expenses are at a cost to Opals to You and are genuinely not prebuilt into your purchase price.

Your purchase will be securely packaged and will also include a complimentary certificate of authenticity. We engage in Australia Post, FedEx and other trusted carriers to ensure your gem will be delivered in the fastest, safest and most secure way.

We will pack and ship your purchase within 1-3 business days once cleared funds of your purchase have been received by Opals To You. Tracking will be available once your item has been shipped.

Shipping Terms

To our international Buyers, you are responsible for any tariff/ Import tax duties, port handling costs that may be required to be paid once your items arrives in your country. All fees imposed during or after shipping are the responsibility of the customer/ purchaser.

Please check information for duties and your country’s requirements prior to purchasing from our website. Shipment times may vary from country to country and may be at the discretion of Border Control / Customs Officials and some delays may occur.

Please also note that you as the international buyer direct from Australia are considered to be the importer.

We are required to provide customs declaration at the time of shipping.

Your Purchase Invoice must match the customs declaration. To ensure the shipping process is as hassle free as possible we fill out the customs declaration with the exact item details, including the products international HS code at the time of shipping.

All shipments may be subject to being audited by Customs authorities and may be held for some time for inspection or audit. Please note that these timeframes are out of the control of us the Seller at Opals to you.

If you reside in Australia Our listed prices are in Australian dollars (AUD) and exclude the Goods and Services Tax (GST) of 10% This will be calculated at the time of purchase upon checkout

Customer addresses will be checked against google maps prior to shipping to ensure accuracy of delivery to the address you provide to us.

Please note we cannot ship to PO Boxes as ID and signature will be a requirement upon receipt of your purchase.

Shipping to the United States (from 29 August 2025)

  • 10% tariff applies to all imports from Australia (collected directly by FedEx/DHL).
  • Additional U.S. fees may include:
    • Merchandise Processing Fee
    • Import Processing Fee (around US$1.50)
    • FedEx Duty Advancement Fee (approx. US$20)

Orders Over USD $2,500

  • Shipments valued above this amount require formal customs entry.
  • A Social Security Number (SSN) or Employer Identification Number (EIN) must be provided.
  • These details can be entered at checkout, or FedEx will request them via CBP Form 5106, which must be completed within three business days. Missing this step may lead to storage fees or your order being returned at your expense.

Jewellery under the US-Australia Free Trade Agreement (FTA)

  • Most jewellery shipments are subject only to the 10% tariff.
  • Occasionally, FedEx may also apply a 5.5% duty. For certainty, please confirm with FedEx.

    For U.S. deliveries, please be aware that any applicable import duties, taxes, tariffs, or FedEx customs processing fees are not included in the item price or shipping cost shown at checkout. These charges are set by U.S. Customs and FedEx and, if applicable, are payable by the recipient upon import.

    As these fees are determined by authorities outside of our control, we’re unable to estimate their amount in advance. By proceeding with your purchase, you acknowledge that any such charges are your responsibility.

    If you prefer not to proceed after considering these potential fees, you’re welcome to pause or cancel your order prior to checkout. Our team is always happy to assist if you have any questions before purchasing.

    In the rare event that applicable import charges are declined, the shipment may be returned to us or abandoned by FedEx, and any associated shipping or handling costs will be non-refundable.

    By proceeding to check out, you confirm that you have read and understood that any applicable U.S. import duties, tariffs, taxes, and FedEx processing fees are additional to your purchase price and are the responsibility of the recipient.
